Hi Everyone,
Been a while since I was actively looking at hardware. Currently running a 2500k with 8gb alongside a 1080 GTX. My 1080 GTX is basically running idle whilst I try and play games like Kingdom Come Deliverance.
Tried pushing my 2500k further, but it's overheating and being throttled down to around 4ghz or under.
The case fans are pretty much giving up, as is the heatsink. So it's time for a new build even though I hate the ram prices.
I was thinking:
- 1600x
- Heatsink (No idea what's good value here)
- 16gb ram 3200mhz - 8pack Team Group Dark Pro
- Mobo - gigabyte ga-ab350-gaming 3 (it's on sale 25% at the moment)
- 2 x 120mm fans - Akasa Apache
- 1 x 140mm fan - Akasa Apache
- Thermal paste, do people still buy this?
I'd like to keep it reasonably cheap, but worth noting I play games like Star Citizen. Ultimately there is no point going cheap to the point of limiting my ability to run 60 fps.
Thanks!
