Budget around £650, is this sensible? For gaming. Already have SSD, and R9 200 card and 1000w PSU.

In future want to get a 4k screen and a card that supports GSync.

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £675.47
(includes shipping: £10.50)

My choices are £150 more, and my amateur assessment of the CPU is that it would perform a lot better than the one you linked to? Is this not the case?

Edit: Actually I don't know, that one looks pretty good.

The 5820K is six cores with Hyperthreading = 12 threads.

The 6700K is quad core with hyperthreading = 8 threads.

Yes the 6700K is going to be a faster in single threaded applications due to the higher stock clock speed, but overclock the 5820K to 4Ghz and any advantage the 6700K had at all is crushed like the rebellion.

If you did want Skylake.

This board,

Comes with a single 8GB corsair RAM stick.

If you look under the big image you can add the 2nd stick making 16GB in total for an extra £34.99

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Which with the 6700K CPU brings the total to £588.47
