Hi all :)

I'm after upgrading my cpu, motherboard and mem.
I don't want to pay stupid money but will pay decent money for the upgrade.
I currently have a asrock dual sata 2 motherboard with 2 gig of ddr400 mem and a 4400 x2 cpu.
What is a good upgrade for this?

Thanks :)

Something like this might be suitable, it should give you a nice boost and would allow overclocking. You might also want to consider a Q6600 for about the same sort of money.

Depends what you want to do, in purely gaming terms there are few games that would utilise quad core fully (and relatively little in terms of other programs) but that is likely to change. If you multitask heavily or use programs coded to take advantage of quad core then there seems no reason not to get it but the benefits are less clear-cut otherwise.
