new cpu, motherboard & RAM?

Gibbo has said that he can't do much for i7 SL since low stock and very popular already and that he will have a good x99 bundle on Monday but... it will be over £500 including the discount and I imagine quite a bit higher than £500 since it will have more than just the CPU, RAM and MB :(

Unless there are good separate deals on the RAM and motherboards, I can't see myself getting an i7 5820k/i7 SL system for about £450 unless else where has good deals and reduce the i7 SL back to <£280....

There is a 3930k and Rampage IV Formula bundle on the members market for £280.

Id hold off and see what happens on friday. Having just switched from a 4.7ghz 4790k to a 5820k, which ive quick n dirty oc'd to 4.5ghz. For games its very similair in performance. The two extra cores may be useful with future titles as DX12 becomes more widespread.

Thanks for the heads up, cracking price.

Don't really want an asus motherboard though, too many horror stories with asus's QC and more so their CS/RMA turn around time :(

Yeah going to hold fire until Friday. I think gibbo said any items on tomorrows weekly deal won't have any further deals/discounts.

Not overly bothered about x99 VS i7 SL as aside from the extra cores, I don't think x99 offers much to me since I never intend on having more than 1 GPU?

Assuming x99/i7 SL CPU + MB + 16GB RAM are no more than £500 with deals, I'll probably just go with whatever is cheapest and if i7 DC setup is £100+ cheaper than both, I'll go with it.
