New CPU now comp not posting

Hi,

I have installed a 4960x into my new RIVE but now its not posting. Not getting any errors from the board on boot either.

I assume its because of the bios version, how do i flash the bios though if im getting no display?

You'll need a Sandy-E to flash it, if it needs flashing.

Did you buy it from OCUK?

some boards let you update the bios via usb stick and no cpu installed,idk if that board supports it

can also pull out the bios chip and order a pre flashed to latest bios chip off fleabay

I had a similar issue with my old Asus board... Had to RMA it in the end

right flashed it from usb and now im getting a code of 65

there was a guy in the motherboard section with the same issue,code 65 on two out of three boards

I think its throws that code up when it cant complete the flash upon reboot

yeah im getting 65, it appears to be memory related but this memory (corsair dominator) was working fine on my previous board

solved, it was the memory not being seated properly
