Please see my sig below.

I have the chance to change my CPU to maybe a Wolfdale 8500 or a Q9XXX but will I see an obvious improvement over my Q6600?

Otherwise,I was thinking of adding another 4870 (+ new mobo) in Crossfire keeping my Q6600?

Which would I probably benefit from most as I love gaming but my native resolution from my LCD is 1360x768?

Thanks.:)

new board with a nice OC and crossfire

you're wasting money changing a Q6600 to a different core2 chip.

I am at that res to (samsung 26" LCD), and i doubt another 4870 would be beneficial..So I would probably get a new board but keep CPU as its pointless swapping as said above.

Or if your planning on getting a higher resolution screen go for the Crossfire if not wait for the new CPU ranges and the motherboards to go with them.
