New CPU = Sound Interference o_O

Got a new CPU yesterday Opteron 170, upgraded from an Opteron 146, installed it, booted up first time, straight into windows without any problems except one rather annoying thing. When ever i move the mouse i now get static interference on my headphones and can't for the life of me figure out why, bar putting my old cpu back in ive tried pretty much anything i can think of.

Try uninstalling & reinstalling sound drivers ?
My mates PC started to mess up sound & this fixed it.

Yep, sound is crystal clear when its playing, but when there isnt anything playing the static noise just drives me insane.
