Hello

Recently I changed my CPU and now when I try to turn on my PC everything starts as always but now after about 5 sec running Red VGA Led comes on on the motherboard and after few more seconds the PC turns off and I dont get any Display at all Monitor does not even power up

I tried to switch back to the old CPU
Restarted the CMOS
Checked every cable every connection
Reseat the GPU
Reseat the RAMs
Update: Tried to use brothers GPU r9 380 ( Not sure ) but still the same problem
Update2: Tried brothers GPU again and the PC will Display but turn off after few sec again
Tried the RAMS in brothers PC they work
Tried the my GPU in brothers PC and it doesnt work but then why doesnt his GPU work in mine? ( Works but turn off after few sec anyway )

None of it helped :(
Any ideas what should I do next?

CPU - Fx8320 or Fx9590
Mobo- Asus crosshair V formula ( Not Z )
GPU - FXF amd r9 290x

Tried to Reseat RAM and GPU checked every cable everything

I really dont know what to do ...

do you have onboard graphics available, if so take out the GPU and try with that, also try reducing the ram to 1 chip and see if it boots. unplug all connectors and reseat. Do you have a spare PSU you could try. failing that, you could have £ucked something on the motherboard when you initially changed the CPU

I have the FX9590 running in the Crosshair V formula non Z so it is compatible with the bios that ran the 8350. (even if not listed).

When you say restarted the CMOS, do you mean pull the jumper and wait a minute, then replace?

Possibly try remove the battery for a while.

The red LED means that the parameters for the CPU are incorrect in the bios. (Actually depends on which LED)?

Have you tried using the MEM OK button on the board? or the GO button

That should start it with default working parameters.

What cooling are you using?

What PSU? I use a 600W seasonic, but any good manufacturer PSU =>500W should be OK.

Your GPU not working in another board sounds a bit dodgy, but your 290X needs more power than his 380. 300w vs. 190w.
