If you go to support and cpu list you'll see that the 4300 is supported with BIOS F3.

Compleatly lost me mate -_- Soon as somone says bios idk wtf there going on about. i was lucky enough on my first build that i put it all together and it just worked lol

Thanks for putting it in more of a simple way, i've read the whole wiki link now too :) I get the hang of what it is and does, just need to look about now on how-to play around with it. Theres no help on gigabyte site on howto actually flash the mobo and if my current cpu will still work, but i'll keep chugging through google. Somone should maybe teach these kinds of things in this forum somewere ;) Saying that a forum called overclockers is probs aimed more at seasoned pc users/builders than people like myself.

BIOS Version/Date: Award software international, Inc F4 19/10/2012.

Just found this in my system info. Im guessing thats the all clear on slapping the piledriver right in with no faffadge required? :)

Worth a look for sure at a tenner more, but dont you need a mobo with a core unlocker to use 6 or more cores? Dont think my mobo has that on.
