New CPU

OK so I'm looking to take my current CPU ( AMD Piledriver 6300 ) and use it to replace my Daughters CPU ( FX 4100)....So this means I'm looking to get a new one for myself and will be staying with AMD

Keeping AMD in mind ...any recommendations please ?

That's some pretty horrific advise.
Different socket, Richland's all about IGP, not CPU performance.

OP, you haven't really got any choice but the FX8320/8350, but you'll only get a performance improvement if you're using 7-8 threaded apps, or you're clocker higher than your FX6300.

OK thank you for the advice Martini , And I think ( cash flow being as it is ) I'm gonna go with the 8320
