Just bought a new 7400 with a pq5 turbo bored as they wer cheap....now is there a certain way to bed a cpu in like stock for 24rs then up to say 3.3 etc... or can i just ram it up to 3.5-4.0 and see what happens, is there any benifits taking slow o/c?
 
nope...just take it nice and slow, clock it bit by bit testing at every step to get a nice stable O/C or you could just go for the big O/C then back down the voltages.
just make sure to take voltages off of auto if you decide to go big and bold.
 
Just make sure you get the thermal compund on the CPU at the right thickness. It does need some bedding in before becoming completely effective.
