'New' D5 Pump from EK Quality issue

All the EK D5s I have had are fairly similar in noise level. Can definitely hear them at above like 40% or so but becomes much more noticeable above about 60% where I run it at to get about 0.5 GPM. Not an amazing flow rate, but 100% doesn't seem to do much at about 0.8GPM or something. Went EK to try and avoid incompatibility but now I see a possible upgrade itch! :cry:

Not seen one yet
But do have some old swiftech pumps
That use a spindle
No ceramic ball-bearing in them
So guess that parts not really new tech

My gut feeling is its going to fit
Where a d5 fits
But obviously knowing 100% for sure
Is much better

The propeller is slightly higher in apex vpp - so if the top is REALLY thight it might not fit - probably will fit 9/10 tops.
