New Dac or Dedicated Sound Card

Hi All,

After some advise. I purchase a SMSL M3 USB/Optical fiber/ Coaxial Function Hi-Fi Audio Decoder All-in-one Amp to drive my Bayerdynamic DT990 250OHM's last year. Not sure if it's me but they seem quiet and on the Dac as soon as you go 3/4 on the volume it does nothing.

So questions are:

1. Am I deaf?
2. Is the Dac powerful enough to drive the headset
3. What other Dacs/Soundcard could i use

What would be the best option in terms of an upgrade then? Mainly use these for gaming purposes.

Just wanted to say thanks for the advise. I got a new Soundblaster Z and the difference is huge, so thanks again all.
