New Dell, looks amazing.

If you buy a Mac Mini instead of this for a HTPC then you're retarded. Those Dells look excellent and there's about 4 people in my team at work about to buy them.

I originally thought Dell were crazy for offering a bamboo sleeve, but it looks awesome and I would definitely give some serious thought to it if I was in a position to need a small PC.
 
These are pretty great. Had a play about with one in work. A great idea, I think. Very, very nice looking.

That stand comes off pretty easily though. And when I say off, I mean break. Took someone holding it for 10 seconds before it was torn clean off. Idiot.
 
Saw the advert in the paper for one these, I quite like the look of it, I assume it uses an ITX motherboard.

I disagree, the dell is a better PC. But you really cant beet OSXBMC + Aeon Skin for a HTPC.
 
Pricing could be a bit better methinks. Sure its a new idea and all, but laptop parts without the screen, all costing about the same price as a lappy?
And £89 for the bamboo sleeve, and each additional sleeve costing how much?
not sure many takers on that one....
maybe base price at £250-£300 (as mentioned above) and it'll start to look good....
 
The prices will drop when the novelty wears off. For a mass manufacturer like Dell I can't see why this wouldn't actually be cheaper to produce than a full tower system once you are geared up for it.
 
Very nice looking. I have an old Ideq 200N with a dead motherboard, would be tempted to get one of these to replace it.
 
cute definately, my only concern is the amount of dell optiplex USFF machines [similar size and cooling solution] that have failed at my work over past few years due to overheating

I suppose the cooler c2d chips will improve the situation tho, all our failures are prescots and high speed northwoods :(
