New Design -> Help + Constructive criticism needed

Right, as a project between myself and a friend to design and code a fully automated gameserver management panel I have begun development on the initial homepage design. Now, i'm one of these people that does one thing on one day and hates it the next so everything must be right!

What I need from you is obviously your opinion, however I also need your ideas for what i could include in the white space opposite as I do not want to clutter the page with text. Also, does anyone feel that the 'updates' is slightly out of place?

Help with anything on that design would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

For those interested in seeing the project progress I have some updates!

1) Finally got the login page designed and coded. Using AJAX + jQuery for a fade in/out avatar (needs refining in IE). Can be viewed here: http://adam.atomicphp.com/flux/
2) Planned and organised the directory structure for the backend PHP.
3) Main template has been refined as best as possible.

Have begun designing the main panel UI - trying to keep it simple at the moment!

Thanks mate, very much appreciated! I'm just trying to think whether or not I should make the icons on the panel UI slightly smaller or change the way they're layed out completely?
