new design - unfinished - opinions

I've just uploaded my new website design. I'm still working on it, having a few problems with transparency.

For some reason PNG transparency doesn't work at all also (seems to work on dreamweaver but not on firefox) so I've stuck with the CSS method for now, altho it doesn't seem to validate

I think it looks a bit better than the old design.

just had a quick look at it, and looked at the old version, definitely prefer this newer one.
But one quick thing i noticed was the image links on the left, when you move your mouse over them, they move, like they indent themselves, but then when you move your mouse off they stay indented and don't come out again
