New desk, any suggestions?

Greetings,

I'm on the hunt for a new desk, ideally the forever desk, and I'd be very grateful if anyone could suggest either what they're using or where I can find something ideal. I've looked around and I can find a lot of desks but they all blend into each other and a lot of them are from random brands I've never heard of on the place Jeff Bezos runs. I've got enough space to use a 140x60cm surface so pretty standard size.

I've used the Ikea tops for a while and they're great for what they are. They're cheap and they work, but with the weight of the mount and monitors I'm attaching to it, it's starting to bow and I don't want to wake up to my 4K OLED dumped on the floor and wrecked. I WFH most days too so a sit/stand isn't out of the question but I've never owned one. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Cheers!

Have a solid wood worktop cut to size and either buy some legs for it, or buy a couple of Ikea drawer units.
Like so, but to your dimensions..

IKEA do a gaming style sit-stand desk that seems to be pretty good.
The one in our local place has held up to about 3 years of daily abuse by careless customers and still works as good as new... and I know it's the same one, because it still has the marks my kid put on it!! :D

I'd absolutely love to have this but space is a bit of a premium after accidentally losing half my desk space to my partner who got into gaming recently and she has a sit/stand desk she just got

I find old industrial office desks hard to beat, someone is always selling them off cheap

100% Ikea work top and stack of drawer either end.

Basically half the size of @JonRGV250 version above.

Two Ikea Alex Drawers & KARLBY Worktop (186cm is mine)

Rock solid - no sag - dual monitors on single stand - zero issues.

IKEA adjustable support (but I sprayed it to match the desk)..

One of the benefits of this kind of setup is you can get the top cut / ordered to the size you need.

I bought some cheap desk form the forest, was meant to be a place holder for a few months, 3 years later its still holding strong not bad for £60. I think it's originally made by Songmics.

I found a standing desk on rainforest by Devoko for £169 although I might buy longer. I need 80cm depth so this looks handy. Only thing is the top is 4 bits not 1 but people seem happy with it.

I think the IKEA option is great some storage and strong and will last and not to expensive I replace my sons desk with this option.
