New Desk?

I know OC dont do any computer desks but im looking for a new one, had a look at the TFT setup thread and decided my computer desk is complete and utter pants.

Any ideas people? Im looking to spend £100 max and would prefer a corner unit, but i have a Thermaltake Kandalf case which requires about 90cm high for the case alone.

Yeah i was thinking that but the closest to me is Bristol which is a hours drive away. Can anybody hint a brand i can look out for?

Not really any brands to look for, try Argos or Staples, went in there over the weekend for something and they had quite a few.

No idea what that one is, but cool. Not long got a new one myself, bit of a beast, just waiting to get a bigger monitor

Thats spot on mate where did u get it? Having the Kandalf case makes any standard computer desk not big enough due to the height and depth of the tower, and i obviously want to display the side panel. Also how much was it roughly?

I got it from Argos, yeah i know...As for price, you can buy it in modules, £49 for one bit etc, cam to about £200 in the end i think though. Take a look at the site. Am i allowed to put a link here? not really a OcUk competitor....

Bugger they don't have the wee single door cupboard that you have on the right hand side instock, would be perfect set up for me too! What is the 2 door cupboard like inside? Just 2 long shelves?

Might get that setup and have the filing cabinet on the left, the 2 door cupboard on the right and a straight desk on the right for my fiancée. Looks awesome, thanks a lot for that!

Ikea Jerker. Had it for just about a year now but finally got around to removing the old small fixed desk I had at the weekend allowing me to put the Jerker in its place - hence the bare walls/carpet in places where the old desk was attached.

i've had an ikea corner desk for ages, and its great. plenty room for my pc, big monitor, big printer, light, externeal hard drive, etc.

only thing is my mouse has rubbed the varnish off it and now the surface there is rough.

need to varnish it but never get round to it. :rolleyes:

Yeah the two door is just split into two, very big inside, but have boxes in there with all my cables and compo crap in (otherwise wife complaines !) Still ahve some of the cupboards to sort and fill, as only got it just before christmas.

Glad it was of some help, let me know how you get on and if you wanna ask anything else fire away.

Like the Jerker, but personally wanted lots of table space so can work on mac whilst playing on main machine

i simply love it.. i would like to get the black colour one. i've been eyeing it for at least 3 or 4 years. but could not buy it due to space constraint.

But i've gotta wait till i graduate before i move home and shift house.

Cheers for that mate, any chance you could do me a favour and take a few more piccies of the setup? The pics on the argos/homebase site are rubbish and tbh the photos you've taken make them look almost like totally different sets!

The set-up you have Sherm is exactly what i'm after, looks good from your picture. Think i may have to go spend some cash.
