Anyone got any good suggestions for a desk?

I'd like it to be very long, about the size of the average mans arm span, Quite deep, as I don't like my monitor touching my face when I play games/watch films, most of all, very sturdy.

I've got a budget of about £130-150.

Thanks in advance.

I've got the Ikea Jonas desk too...it may not be as long as you want it (average mans arm span) but it's quite deep and provides all the space I need :)

Here's a quick pic, but do check out the 'show us your desk' thread as ro55o suggested above as there are a few more that might be what you're looking for.

Diverse...that little... ¬_¬ 'knob' for want of a better word for the headphones is genius. The amount of times I've got out of bed to go to the sink for a drink in my room and trod on my now battered creative fatalitys must be in the hundredsd :D

Thanks!...I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm glad you like my little knob ;)

I just got so peed off with having my headset on my desk, and running over the cable with my chair, I came up with this solution...and it works a treat! It looks cool and only cost a couple of quid too.

@ exhumedye - I think you'll like the Jonas desk :)

It is an awesome desk, perfect what I needed. I went and got myself a little knob too :p for my headphones after seeing diverse180's, only a couple of pound from homebase ;)

nice desk! I have the opposite problem. I need more space in the room so with great reluctance i want to ditch my huuuge glass desk in favour of something smaller. i want a narrower desk that wont stick out as much and approx 90cm long x no more than 50cm depth and standard height. Any suggestions? Thanks :)

i wonder if its that tidy when there's no camera... :p

I have to admit I'm a bit of a clean freak, so yeah...it is always that tidy :)

Made a few changes to my desk set-up by getting rid of my webcam (never use it) and adding a desktop microphone. Also ordered a pair of Goldring DR150's headphones to replace my ageing Steelseries 5HV2's :)

Be sure to post some pics when you get your new desks fellas! :)

probably a silly question... but does the desk come with instructions to put it together backwards? because the pic on the ikea site has the filling cabnet on the opposit side to yours, and i'd much prefer it on the way you have it ^^

nevermind... just re-read the description and it says you can swap sides lol

You could get a worktop off cut from local Kitchen shop or buy a 3 metre length from the likes of B&Q they would even cut it down for you. Then its just a case of some CLS/battening on the wall and a couple chrome tubes for legs at the front. You could buy a couple of single chest of draws and put them underneath if you wanted some more storage instead of the chrome tubes
