could you build a custom desk as then you get what you realy want for you space?

Ah yes, that was silly of me. It's got to go up against one wall (not a corner table - there's a radiator against only other free wall), and can be up to 180mm width. Depth - not really limited - say 60-100cm. Not sure how deep it should be to cope with a decent eyefinity setup, or a 30" monitor if I go that route.

My current desk was a flatpack build, with a raised ledge for a monitor - but which is too tall for my current 24" and I had to cut a hole in it. It also has a slide out keyboard tray, but it's not wide enough for most gaming gaming keyboards. So, for my next desk I want to avoid those pitfalls.

I couldn't find your post in that thread, do you have a direct link?
I did have now looked at the Vika Amon ikea range, and there are a couple there that might do me. Are they fiddly to set up?

+1 for Ikia, I just got myself Nvidia Surround, I was looking for a table then come acress the Amon Curry set from Ikia I got the corner desk and two small 100cm either side, for under £40 and it's massive tons of space for my three monitors, My 32" sony for Xbox, PS3, keyboard, mouse, and all the usual rubbish that we keep on our desks, it's also a fantastic hight it fit's really well and takes about 5minutes each table to set up, and the best thing is if your short on space you can easily get all three monitors 24" set up on two 100cm desks with tons of room left over for about £8 each table,

Just dont forget the legs.. :P

Agree with the Vika Amon/Vika Curry set from ikea. It's a bargain for ~£30 and fits my 3x24" monitors on it easily. I got the 180cm one but afaik theres a 150cm and 210cm version.

Just a tip, if you have never been to ikea before get the product codes from the website and then go straight to the warehouse bit. Unless you want to walk around their entire showroom 1st..

To be honest I can't remember.. and looking through there's too many :D I had limited room but the one I choose is solid as a rock and my system fits perfectly underneath .. I shopped everywhere and no one came anywhere near .. well happy with these guys.

[edit] - Just found it : http://www.officefurnitureonline.co.uk/shop/next-day-mavity-standard-wave-cantilever-desk.html - Check out the ranging sizes too :D

Sorry Linked it wrong.. I have one of these fairly easy to put together. I didn't have problem. I really like the space on the desk top. You can change the color of the table top pick different style legs and draws etc.

is my new desk, will be nice and roomy, although I ahvent got it set up yet as the removal men broke it while moving it into my new flat :( now I get to wait another few weeks before getting my main PC set up....

It looks very nice - too much glass for me though. I'd be terrified of it breaking.

The 150x75 one of those is tempting, maybe replacing the legs with the alex stand:

and removing the shelf to put my pc inside.

But I do like how some of the ones at Huddy's store have cable management holes. I saw on one site people used them as mounting points for flexible monitor stands. So decisions, decisions...

The legs are only cheap that's why I went for the one I posted. I did think about getting the storage with shelf for the pc but there so much room on the top I can upgrade later If I need too. The main thing for me was needed a new desk. And the drawers on mine are a nice touch..

Yes, I was thinking of getting the drawers at one side, and the computer shelf at the other.

When putting that table together, are their mounting points on the top of the drawer "leg" to fix the table top to?
