Hi everyone, Ifirst post here and I'm after help, aren't I a cheeky sod :p

Anyway, I am in need of a new computer, my current one is about 3 years old now and getting a bit sluggish.
My problem is that when it comes to computer specs I'm not really that brilliant, I'll look at a list of specs and not really think wow thats great or it's rubbish!

I am after a nice fast computer. I use it everyday as I work from home making websites (dreamweaver, paintshop). It does stay on for extended periods but I'm not a gamer. I also do general internet surfing, listening to music/videos and what not too!

I have looked at the Dell xps 630 (I don't know if saying Dell is swearing around here or not, so I appologise if it is) but as I say I only looked at that because it was one of their desktops towards the top end that they sell.

Should I look elsewhere than Dell, does anyone have any suggestions for computers that will keep me going (I know my descrition doesn't give you much to work on, I just wnat it to work fast) :o

Cheers

Hi there, first off...Claimed :)

Now then, most people will tell you to build your own pc here, rather than buying one...Don't know how you would feel about doing that?

Also, do you have a budget? It would help people a lot.

Not looking to build one myself if I'm honest, maybe I've come to the wrong forum
My budget really is about £800 I was thinking although up to £1k I guess if the extra would make much of a difference. I alreday have a couple of monitors so one thing I want is for it to be able to support dual monitor (plus more if I buy another).

Hope this helps a bit more, soryr if I'm asking my question on the wrong forum, I'll happily move along if people have suggestions for another forum to dump me on to ask my questions :D

Cheers
