I am looking to purchase a new computer and I have been out of the loop for around 4/5 years now so my knowledge has completely depleted!

What I need the computer to do:
Play 90% of games MAX graphics
Be able to video/livestream games that I play with minimal lag

Parts Needed:
Monitor
Tower
Keyboard
Speakers
(Everything but a mouse basically!)

My budget isn't amazing due to my dead end job so I am looking at £600-£1000 Maximum.

Why do I want a new computer?
My current laptop was bought to last me throughout university and then the plan was to save and buy a new one once I finished. Unfortunately I didn't save a penny and now I need to find everything that I want/need and start getting money together.
I want to record for YouTube videos and livestream.

Are you looking to build it yourself or get a pre-built pc?

I have never actually built a computer before... However you have to start somewhere right?

I am open to pre-built and self built I suppose, so long as DIY is possible for someone with no skills such as myself.

This is actually good spec. My only gripe would be the lack of a K series cpu and decent cooler. I'm sure you could speak to OcUK and get that upgraded though and just overclock it yourself.

I have been warned by friends that on prebuilt models OcUk tend to use less quality motherboards which I do not want to happen, it's pulling me towards attempting a self build.

My only worry is that I won't be able to fit everything into the case I buy.

Go for it. As long as you get a decent case that will take an ATX mobo, everything else will fit. Just watch a few of the vids I linked and then decide.

I've started watching guides posted on building a computer, still worried about paying money and choosing wrong parts lol.

Before I purchase anything I will check and double check with you guys to ensure what I am buying is suitable and will be compatable!

I would still appreciate it if anyone else could customise a set up for under 1k with i7 if that is possible?!

You won't need an i7. Only difference between the i7 and i5 is the i7 had HyperThreading, only a few select programs such as heavy video editing actually use this. In gaming there is no difference.

I don't think I could improve on the spec by Idleman so I wont :D

Hmm, that's a few of you now who recommend everything idleman has posted... I'm considering slowly buying the parts required for that set up however I don't like the case... I want something that shows off a little more maybe? Any lighting? I know it is useless but to me £1,015 is a lot of money to spend on a computer to not show it off.

Any suggestions?
