New die hard film is looking good

When they first announced this, i thought it was going to be awful, like every other film people try and remake from films in the 80's like terminator and stuff. But so far its got 8.4 on imdb from just over 2000 ratings, and imdb's standard that is pretty amazing. (die hard 1 got 8.1, and a film like aliens got 8.3)

Because it was a PG-13 in america, loads of people thought it would be awful but on the imdb message boards say that even though theres not as much swearing as before, the action scenes surpase all of them.

Looking forward to this film but why have they called it or has it adopted the 4.0 at the end?

Is it part of a bigger story? I mean, maybe in 2 or 3 years time we would see the second installment. Die Hard 4.2?
Baffles me.

^ Apparently that stunt contained no CGI at all. At least that's what Bruce said on Jonathan Ross last night.

Also I think the trailer from a few months ago made it look like McClane "rode" the car into the chopper but in the clip shown last night we see that he actually bails out of the car.

I want to Buggy a chopper, proper side swipe it out the sky. Kubra damn is looking like the most likely map. I'll bail out & deploy my semi trusted chute :p
Brilliant stunt & i for one am proper looking forward to seeing the movie.
 
Slightly off topic but did anyone see Jonathan Ross last night? Bruce Willis tries to act cool but to me he comes across as a really lazy interviewee, he's boring.

Missed it, saw Pete though - boy can you spot a mile off he has some problems!
 
Can't trust IMDB ratings this soon after a films release. Just means all the yanks have rushed home after watching it still buzzing and gone "ZOMG 10 STARS, WEEIEIEIE!!".

I'll reserve judgement until i see it. :p
 
Bruce Willis was rubbish on Ross.. but like you say, do them all day around the world and anyone would get bored.

Pete... lol.. really messed up, but he is a decent guy despite the rubbish. did a good song as well on his tod.

sooo love to see the Libertines back together.. :(..anyways
 
Couldn't get out to watch it on Wednesday when it was released but did go watch it tonight.

"ZOMG IT ROCKED!!111twelvety"

Everyone in the theatre enjoyed it, definitely the best film I've seen in a while and certainly beats all the other sequels which have come out recently.
