New digital camera - £200 mark - Possible newbie in the amateur photography world

Hi, Im looking for a digital camera that i will just take out with me now and then for capturing personal memorys. I have no experience with photography and im complete amateur, the last digital camera i had was a canon powershot a300 which was awful!

Im looking to spend around £200, but obviously if i can get something good enough for less, than im all for it!

please help photo gurus!

Yup - the Fuji F30 is one the best compact cameras available

Finepix S6500?

The finepix looks a little more advanced with the additional lenses available. I have always taken a look at photography as a hobby, but have never had the confidence to take the leap and get started.

I assume that the finepix S6500 would give me a good taste of what to expect?

How about the Fuji S5600 a local retailer is selling them for £141.50 in there autumn sale? Again would this camera be any good in reference to my previous post

Fuji F30 for the win.

My dad got one after his old one got stolen, and it is a stunning camera!
