New dishwasher doesn't work.

Our new Bosch SMS50T22GB dishwasher keeps flashing the "check water" symbol, and the "drying" one is constantly illuminated.

We moved house recently, and just bought this dishwasher, so it's not been used yet.

I had some trouble plumming it in, i needed to put a different splitter type thing as i only had 1 cold water intake and that had the washing machine plummed into it, so i replaced this :

Which initally was leaking as it wasn't sealer correct, but that's all sorted now, so ignore the red circle.

Also ignore the red hose, after trying the black hose that can with the machine i tried that red one that i had laying around, but it comes up with the same error on both hoses. The original black one is connected to it again now.

However the first time i switched the machine on, i think the hose connecting to it was also leaking, as a big pool of water appeared from underneath.

But when i titled the machine it also looked like there was water leaking from somewhere in the middle at the bottom :

I've made sure that there is water supply to it, and i've checked the waste hose is open and going into an open pipe, but it still keeps flashing the "check water" and the dryer light is continiously on.
Also none of the other buttons respond, including the on/off. I have to switch it on/off by the wall switch.

I read something about water in the bottom of the machine, and a float switch, but i can't seem to see either after taking the sides off :

When i switch it on it makes noise for a while, stops, and then makes that noise again, but i can't actually see any water going into it, or into that see-through thing in the last picture.

Is it possible it's flooded and needs this floating switch flicked back, and if so, where would i find it ?
 
No idea about the float switch etc but that red pipe looks like its got quite a bend going on, is it kinked and restricting the flow by any chance?

Edit - re-read, is the new black hose OK and not kinked at all?

Have you tried tilting it until all the water drains out of the bottom? I think some models have a cut off switch to prevent problems if it floods with water. It may be full from the previous leak / installation.
 
Float switch is on the bottom.
Literally 1mm or less from the metal base. It detects a leak (water getting onto base) and will stop the water intake.

If that has tripped it'll need time to dry out. You should be able to access it from the front

The noise your hearing will be the machine trying to pump water out

You get at the float switch from the front, you should be able to drop a plastic cover off, no need to take the sides off.

The big question is why is there water in the base, is this a brand new dishwasher?
 
My bosch washing machine was very particular about the water connection and appeared DOA until I got it absolutely perfect. I would suggest taking the splitter off and try from just the one inlet you had previously.
 
You haven't got the waste outlet pipe kinked or placed too low?

Can get all sort of grief, like back siphoning, etc.

Also try it without the splitter to eliminate that as well, most Bosch dishwashers require a flow rate of 10 litres minimum per minute.

Have looked at the Fault finding section in the manual?

One fault is Siphon connection still sealed, so have look at the manual.

Definitely try removing the splitter and connecting it, I was having problems with our new washing machine as I'd hooked it up to a tap which couldn't provide a high enough flow rate.
Moved it onto a new tap and it's fine.
 
if its keeps flashing the "check water" its quite obvious that their is no water entering (blockage) or there is a leak ,so going by the pics you got an good leak.
but what gets me if the item is new why don't you call the place where you got it from to sort it out ?? under the Warranty. but now your Warranty could be void because you have open it up ? :confused::confused::confused::confused::D
 
The flood protector has been activated, it is nothing to do with the machine taking in water.

Once the flood protector has been activated you can't program the machine until you reset the flood protector.
