New drive problems

Right well i have got hold of a Dvdrw for my laptop
Installed the thing into the laptop and it just does'nt show it up
It powers as i can eject the drive but it doesnt show up in My comp or anything.
Is there anything i have done wrong os is there a chance its just not compatable??

Right well according to this tool i have checked and they are both set up the same. or am i looking at the wrong things
