Hi,
I've been using the Viewsonic VX912 for quite some time now and rate it highly. My review here.
I've bought a VX922 as I multitask and need the extra space. I didn't go for a widescreen as I didn't want to shorten the lifespan of each overall system upgrade I make and I'm anal and like symmetry. So here is my new dual TFT setup...
The VX922 is brighter which was annoying initially as my VX912 has lost its brightness over time and the VX922 is probably brighter spec wise. Not bothered about it now.
I also bought the Ergotron LX Dual Display Lift Stand for £140 which in my opinion is very good value. Here are more details...
Ergotron LX Dual Display Lift Stand
TFTs at lowest position...
TFTs at highest position...
Back of the TFTs with the cable management...
The stand took about half an hour to put together which included mounting the TFTs onto it. The main parts are the feet, post, crossbar and mounts. The sensitivity of the lift and tilt mechanisms are adjusted using an allen key. Once adjusted correctly the lift (13cm) and tilt (20 degs) are effortless and smooth in motion. The tilt requires more effort but I haven't yet found the sweet spot in terms of adjustment as the tilt is adjusted via two screws whereas the lift is one screw. Pan and rotation are 10 degs and 90 degs respectively. The cable management is nothing special. It's difficult to see but the cables are passed along the silver crossbar, over the post and down.
Highly recommend the stand and VX922.
