Shouldn't this be in PC Games sub-forum?

Anyway, those are some nice screenshots, the explosions look damn good, shame cant say the same bout the water (looks better in Quake wars).

Then again, just watched the quake wars hi res video and doesn't really entice me.

The explosions look pretty but there's nothing there really that can't already be done in DX9. Just take a look at COH. IMO it looks better then those screenies. Accepting the fact that it doesn't have nukes tho :D

yup tactical nukes :D

Been following their game forums for a few weeks now

This is the rts im waiting on now after the supreme commander beta was such a dissapointment.......still has to tear me away from COH though

They showed this game at nvidia's G80 conference thing, it was running uber fast for the amount of detail on screen and the nuclear explosion was pretty nasty!!

Hmmm... a bit of a problem with that nuke.

Everything within a 100/200m radius of that blast should have been flattened. But then, I suppose that's just a modelling issue.

It looks fabulous, though.

Not tactical nukes...

is it just me or does dx10 look like a big step up in graphics, by the time dx11/12 is about its going to look unreal?

To be fair they are probably renders, like most DX9 game Screenies are.

If it looks like that then im sold! :D

Those screens look fantastic to me, always wanted to see a nuke effect in a game and it looks great.
Look at the games when DX9 first came out compared to the DX9 games now (crysis in dx9 mode), massive step, I wonder what the games on DX10 will look like once DX11 is imminent.

even tacticals level several hundred metres at the least, strategic just flatten the whole city and area around the city, tacticals are for use against large tank columns and stuff

Maybe this is just a poor example of what DX10 is capable of, but I see nothing spectacular in those screenshots. Those landscapes look more or less like what you see when flying a chopper over a chinese map in BF2, with some fancy lighting effects (hdr?) and some impressive particle effects.

Correct me if I am being stupid, or am I misunderstanding something. Surely if the recommended GPU is a 6 series which is only DX9 then surely the game isn't a DX10 game, as surely would recommend the 8 series. Or am I being really dim.
