Anybody seen these? Was looking at getting a dxracer, but they seem to be discontinued now and the replacement is a similar "DXSeat".

Pre-order for delivery from tomorrow (12th August)

OCUK to be selling these?

Ahh its a shame they don't do a subtle styling on their chairs. I know they are comfy but the teenage look kills it for me.

Hopefully they'll release some toned down models in the future.

Do you mean like this one, has a quilted effect and no holes by the head. Also looks decent with the silver base.

I was nearly persuaded to buy this one, however my love for red took control.

Guys, it's a fake brand. I am getting an official statement from DX Racer today which I will post here. I am also going to live a new range of DX Racer chairs by the end of the week. They are very much alive and kicking, DXSeat on the other hand are fraudsters :) you will see why soon.

Here's an official statement from DX Racer -

DX Racer said:
DXRacer has no affiliation with DXseat.

The brand DXseat was created by a former reseller of DXRacer chairs from Poland. We understand that this creates confusion and we are sorry for any inconvenience caused. Our legal team is working on a solution.

Basically, this company are using the DX Racer name to try and launch their own brand and have taken some pretty dodgy actions in order to do so. I'm sure it will be resolved in time and I'll keep anyone whose interested updated in this thread. I'd consider not buying anything from DXSeat though, I am fairly certain they do not adhere to the DX Racer code of quality.

I'm considering getting a regular car seat and using my current base as and when this chair gives out, I know Dan from WasabiCars made one using a seat from a skyline. Probably much cheaper than the DXRacer equivalents, cooler to IMO.

yeah it is pretty neat depends on how you come across the seats one of teh guys here was given some seats from an mondeo ST 220

My old Tech teacher had an astra GTE seat (those big soft comfy firehazards) just mounted on an old School/Reception Furniture type chair (the square framed things)

I always fancied doing that as i don't like wheels or a swivel base.

I hope they do some toned down designed. Would like something that doesn't look like a racing car chair but keeps the comfort and build quality at that 200-300 price range.

I've emailed dxracer at [email protected] the other day (the email advertised on their contact us page on the dxracer website) and had a response of the following:
Hello

We do not expect to have stock of this chair in the near future, however I can recommend the following premium brand chair which comes with luxury memory foam filled cushions:

http://www.dxseat.com/cat4_p-class.html

Best Regards /Cordialement/ Grüße /Pozdrawiam,

I had emailed them asking them when they were likely to have stock available of the chair i've ordered (through yourselves) so are you saying the person in control of the dx racer website, or at least their email, may not actually be affiliated with dx racer?

This is all very confusing....although, i've got my answer now after seeing your last reply anyway :D :p

DXseat adverts now coming up on the DX Racer website - and with DX racer staff pushing DXseat (see email in the post above) this is all rather confusing.

Either the DXRacer website and email has been compromised or there is something else afoot here.

Was thinking about ordering a K series DXRacer too - but I'll wait until OCUK get their stock of these in so I know who I am buying from!

Starting to wonder if i should cancel my order for the DX Racer drifter series chair... not entirely sure that order will ever be fullfilled. Might chase Ocuk up later and see if there's any news.

DXRacer.net isn't the official EU site despite their misleading advertising/branding to the contrary.

Up until last year they were one of the few sites stocking some DXRacer models and shipping to EU countries. My understanding is that that it had some sort of "semi-official" relationship with DXRacer in the US as an EU reseller until DXRacer opened up their official EU site, which sells direct and also distributes DXRacer's EU stock out of their base in Sweden to sites like OcUK.

The official DXRacer EU site is:
http://www.dxracer-europe.com/

Official DXRacer EU Twitter:
https://twitter.com/DXRacerEurope

All the legitimate DXRacer stock on the dxracer.net site that is actually in stock are older model / EOL DXRacer chairs that they've presumably sourced elsewhere and this "new" DXSeat range they're pimping is a knock-off seat made in Poland that they're trying to piggyback off the official DXracer brand.

The official EU DXRacer site doesn't have as wide a range of stock as the US site, but if you can't get the chair you want from a reputable site like OcUK I'd only go via the official site. I ordered one of the new Max series chairs (with updated King Series base) in June 2015 from the official site (OcUK didn't stock the latest model at the time) and it took about 6-8 weeks to ship out. Apparently DXRacer own the factory in China that builds all their chairs and they're seemingly struggling to keep up with demand - the US definitely appears to get first dibs on the bulk of the stock from the looks of it.

This, pretty much. I'm assured by DXRacer they are working on resolving the situation to avoid any further confusion. As for our stock, it's currently being booked in and will be in stock soon :) The King & Drifting series are new to OcUK and the Formula series have been updated, we should be expanding to some new models soon too :)
