The E2180 was launched 4 days ago apparently on a new M0 stepping for better overclocking.
2Ghz core speed otherwise identical to E2140 & E2160.

Anyone tried to overclock one yet?

Gibbo when does OCuk start selling them?

Got a source for the new stepping? I was gonna go for the E2140 but if this is going to be cooler when OC'ed I think it's worth paying the few ££s extra that it costs.
The 1-2 places that I've seen them on sale at have them almost as cheap as the 2160s, so I suspect there might be a small price cut at the lower-end chips.

Hi All,

Just ordered mine yesterday for a little over £55 including delivery, should be here in a day or two hopefully.
I have been waiting to try out this cpu ever since I first heard about it - 10x multi (;))

I'm going to be overclocking it on my msi p6n sli platinum motherboard, I wanted a higher multi to put less strain on the northbridge. I currently have have the e6300 at 3 GHz. I would like to go a bit higher with less heat generated with the new e2180.

Thanks for reading :).

Saw this recently too. The E2180 is M0 only, there isn't a L2 version, and it's available at lots of etailers already.

Seen only a few results so far but they've been very good. The M0 stepping is the latest revision so is likely to be consistently good.
