Hi guys, recently bought one of my dream cars, the E60 M5! Coming from a 2.8 Z3 this thing is an absolute beast. Loving ownership so far.

She is an early model, 2005 in Interlagos Blue with a few nice options such at the TV tuner, Logic 7, active seats, full leather trim and alcantara headlining.

A good friend of mine is a detailer so of course I had to visit him, please have a look at the magic he worked on my M5!

Thanks for the comments! Hey Ian hope you're keeping well! What are you driving these days? I am getting married next year so thinking a stag do at the ring may be in order...

As for warranty, yes it has the full BMW warranty until November. I have a good friend who is a BMW specialist mechanic so unsure on what I will do after November. It depends how much the warranty will be, as its past 60k miles now so the renewal will be quite a bit more. Its just a weekend toy so it won't do a massive amount of miles so I'll have to see. That V10 is glorious but like you say, if it goes wrong it will be painful!

Thanks for the comments! Yes the smile on my face is still massive... can't get enough of those brutal S6 gear shifts :)

Its HPI clear, and has had no accident damage so all fine on that front. The bonnet was resprayed but the finish wasn't that good, I can only guess that the body shop used did a poor job of it! Its come up great now though.

I bought it privately for £15k after a lot of looking around, really pleased with it as its has every option I wanted and in the colour I wanted. The only thing I would change if I could would be silverstone leather instead of black, but I was happy to compromise for the price. Really it is amazing value for money for a £71k with options 507bhp 'super car', just 15mpg and expensive maintenance/repairs/insurance (although its not too bad at 26) put most people off. Luckily I don't need to use it for work or commuting so it stays tucked up in the garage for the weekends and nice evenings!

Thanks for the comments guys. I'm not sure on the calipers either - will probably redo them in black.

The warranty was definitely £612 last year for comprehensive without breakdown, I have the paperwork to scan if you're interested?

Thanks for the additional info about renewal, food for thought :) 2k with £250 excess doesn't sound bad for comprehensive considering.

£70 extra is pretty good for emergency service actually, although I already have that sorted with the GFs car on a joint policy so probably not worth changing
