new E6600 installed today, how to check its working ok?

today was the day that i turned to the darkside and installed my new E6600. :)

now that its installed whats the best programs to use to to check that its running ok? temps etc
 
right ok , installed both.
do these temps look at for a stock cooler?



also in the BIOS under
PC health status / smart FAN control method ,
whats the best setting to leave it on? ive got it set to "auto"
 
thanks for the replys, i might have a go at overclocking ( never done it before ) but when i do i will be getting a different heatsink/fan.
ah so thats what the smart fan setting is for :)
