I need a new pair of ear phones. any body have any recommandations, a want ones that can take a lot of bass and treble and also ones that are pretty loud on my unlocked vol limited NW-A3000

I use EX-71's with my unlocked NWA-3000
I have about £30 - £40. I dont like those over ear things, so earphones yes

i find logitech a good brand for headphones, sennheisers much better?

The MD-33 is quite popular for modding and the verdict here is that modded it sounds better than the E2C (but keep in mind it is only one person's opinion):

(The Koss Plug on the other hand is almost universally disliked at HF)
It's a shame that the original poster doesn't like over the ear type though. I think everyone should try the KSC-75
To me it is the people that don't know any better (ie the non audiophile/md33 owners that simply haven't listened to e2c's and are never likly to spend anymore on phones) that tend to go for the md33's.
Check the first link you posted, 3rd reply: 'md33 all the waay. Kids at school love my earphones too much they order them from me for 60 bux.'
Is that really someone you can take seriously?

Money and the real world also play a factor in this though.
For something as good/if not better (depending on most peoples views of the md's) for quite a bit cheaper, the extra money really isn't worth it.
They fit azza's price range, and what he wants is a lot of bass, which in MANY many reviews of the shures, they dont give. (One reason I didn't get them)

@Bigsy: I pulled three fairly random thread from searching 10 minutes (with "E2C and MD-33 as keyword). I can't say I've paid much that much attention to either the Shure E2C or the Sharp.
I'd say the Shure made it's name amongst audiophile for it's product line above the E2C though. The E4C is all the rage right now, and prior that, the E3C and E5C were usually the ones praised. You certainly aren't the only person who's tried the E2C, and disliked them. Krammer also mentioned he wasn't big on the E2C at the beginning. Not sure if that changed after he performed the mod though.
The other thing is, Sharp hasn't historically been associated with audiophile grade products. Perhaps for a good reason, but the fact that the MD-33 is even talked on HF would suggest that they are doing -something- right there.. but perhaps only a small number of people have dared to try (over an established brand like Shure).
On a side note, I am kinda surprised to hear the E2C lacking bass, the E3C and E5C are certainly known for being bassier than the Etys E4R. Aren't the Sony EX-71 reknown for quantitative bass?
