New Email Provider Required

Hi Folks,

I require a new email provider, my hotmail is old/cluttered and may have been compromised recently (not sure though).

My friend who is into "ethical hacking" said I should use the email my ISP provides me, however this is based on Gmail, I tried it but do not like the fact you can only label stuff rather than move the emails to folders.

I do not mind paying for email service as I use it a lot and if a paid email will prevent a lot of spam/junk and increase security then I'm happy.

My Requirements:
Ability to set rules on incoming email so they filter into specified folders
Compatibility with the iPhone/iPad email app
Compatibility with Outlook 2007 (Not a deal breaker)
Ability to set a signature (Not a deal breaker)
Secure
Reliable

Thanks in advance

Tags basically are folders. Have a play with them, pretty sure you can remove tagged stuff from the inbox so it only appears when you click the tag link on the left.

Gmail will do everything you want.

It would be fine if I only ever accessed it via Outlook, but when I go on my iphone or access via Virgin Media's webpage, the folders have not been carried over so everything is stuck in my inbox again and none of the folders exist.

An alternative would be great, I use an MS Exchange account at work which works a treat as all of my rules are stored server side along with folders etc. Something like this would be brilliant.

Not sure if it helps or not, but I've got a GMX email. Bot had any trouble with it, allows POP and IMAX with outlook and android etc etc

Your friend gives out poor advice. Never use ISP email. You never know when they might decide to migrate their email platform to a new provider or if you'll have to change ISP at some point in the future.

For the Office 365, do you have to purchase a particular version for the exchange server or should I just go Exchange Online?

Office 365 Small Business £3.90 per user on a monthly commitment includes exchange SkyDrive pro/SharePoint Lync

Exchange Online P1 £2.60 per user making an annual commitment of £31.20

It really just boils down to how long you want to commit for and if you will use the extra bits in O365 small business

Just an update, I decided to go with Exchange Online in the end. Looks good so far, just setting up my own domain and configuring it with 1&1.

Thanks for your help guys :)
