huh, got my new enermax liberty 400 today, plugged it all in, switched on my machine and flash bang wallop my house was shorted! :(

It's now very dead and looking quite ashamed of itself in the corner (i wish)

but then again, looking back at previous threads this doesn't appear to be a one off.

Thankfully after putting back my old PSU everything is still working fine, so I guess the enermax surge protection is pretty good (positive thinking :) )

Ah well back to intermittent crashing for me then

nothing too exciting :)

P4 530 prescott
2 x 256 ddr2
2 x 512 ddr2
audigy 2
7600 gt pci-e
160gb SATA
One USB device (wireless adaptor)
One case extractor fan
1 DVD-ROM
1 DVD-RW

The reason i wanted to change the PSU was, even though it had the recommended wattage for the graphics card(350w), it wasn't up to spec on the 12v rail (17a instead of 20a). I believed that this was the problem giving me occasional 'mini' lockups in games ie, the whole thing would freeze for a few seconds with the last few seconds of sounds looped, then go right back to normal.

Only other thought was the RAM, but that was memtested and ran individually and worked fine.
