New(er) slim PS3 - has anyone spotted one?

Hey,

Just wondering if anyone has spotted the newest PS3 revision (should have a CECH-2103 model number). These have the 45nm Cell as well as the shrunken 40nm RSX.

Yeah same here - my 40GB is going schizoid in the heat... last night the fan actually went as loud as the "fan test" mode. I almost **** my pants when it kicked in

Wanna get rid of it before it YLODs

Does anyone happen to know if you back up a console, will it restore the partitions as well? I have a Linux partition that is obviously dead now, so I'd like to reclaim that 10GB back!!

AFAIK it just copies your savegames, gamedata, user profiles and console settings.

I don't think it touches the partitions as you run the restore utility AFTER you've set up the initial user account.

Ah cool cheers EVH I got impatient and nuked everything though the things I really wanted to keep (Heavy Rain and SF4 save files) would not have copied across anyway

I was in Competitor today and they did not have the CECH-2103 versions... guess I'll wait a few weeks. What I really want is one of these but I guess they don't accept Gamestation trade-in cards?
