Do you know if the release of these updated editions of the FTW will bring the 'old' editions' prices down?

Yes something shall happen to original versions next week, we are just awaiting a fresh delivery as stock is low.

Also, Gibbo do you know if the old FTW cards come with the thermal pad mod? Or if it needs to be sent out from EVGA and installed by end users still?

All current stock and new I believe have thermal pad mod on them.
