New EVGA PSU guide

It is good, aside from the fact that you have to have the results emailed to you. Can we not just have the result displayed on the screen once we have filled in the forms?

Wha? Entering your email just gives you a discount code. Scrolling down shows the adequate power supplies for your build... At least for me?

tried, result was as expected.

just wondering about few things.

why do the 550 and 650W G2 units have 3 years lower warranty than 750W and above?

also are there any major differences between 550W GS and G2, apart from 1 being Seasonic, the other one SF and 120 vs 140mm fan?

and finally. if i have an efficient system that's maybe 200W in peak and run it off 750W G2, is there any downside apart from maybe not the best efficiency?

Just tried for my pc and it recommended 650w+. Fairly happy with that as I like the extra headroom. Most I have ever seen my pc pull is 452w at the wall so it could run on a 550w psu easy enough although as I said, I prefer the extra headroom.

As for the recommended psu it started off with the right size but at the bottom of the list where ones with another 250w.

I think that is a logical product placement. It's kinda saying like "If you'd like a bit of headroom for future upgrades, we also sell X power supply for you to purchase"

Nothing wrong with this in my opinion as it's EVGA's own site.

Results kind of useless without some categorization. The results showed PSU's from 650Watt to 1000Watt for me. You should have results shown as Minimum, Recommended, Ultimate. Also why did you not ask if the GPU is overclocked, because you did for CPU and additional components like sound card, watercooling pumps would be beneficial too.
