I'm just finishing an extension and am just sorting the wiring out as you can see from the piccy this is what stage I'm at.

I intend to buy a media player for the extension (something like a acryan playon), so I'm running some cat5 to my router in the hallway.
I'm also running speaker cables but I'm wondering what other cables I should be running while I'm at it.
Also what would be the best way to connect my computer to the tv in the extension if I wanted to watch for example streaming football, I've had a search and have read about a hdmi balun or something, would this be a good idea?
My graphics card has 2 hdmi outs.

At my recent CEDIA course a bare minimum is 2 Coax, 2 Cat5, can get a cable which combines these into 1 easy to manage cable, the coax's for sky+, or for radio, and cat5 for as you said, a line from your router, but also if in the future you get any components you will be able to control via cat5 so you can house those all remotely.

Otherwise your on track, you can never have enough power points either, if you are touching mains voltage that is.
