So as the title says I would like to buy a new fan controller.

I have looked at the below ones. the ones with the fan pack just to add bling to my case and possibly use with watercooling. push/pull config ie have the BitFenix Spectre PRO fans on the outside and the static pressure fans on the inside ect ect*don't know if it would work ect)

OcUK Tech Labs Airflow Control Cooling Kit - BitFenix Recon Black + 4x BitFenix Spectre Pro LED Red

or

Aqua Computer Aquaero 5 LT USB Fan-Controller

or

Lamptron CW611 Watercooling Controller - Black

anyhow ideas/thoughts please.

I would just like to say I would much rather not connect all fans via a splitter to my motherboard.

I will be watercooling from next month, so ideally I would like to connect as many fans to a controller without overly stressing it causing it to wear out early.

I have just bought a corsair 900d case so you can imagine the amount of fans I need to connect. obviously I will have to connect some to my motherboard.

Thank you

The thing is the one I have linked is the lt vers. there are a pro and xt vers and a 6XX versions, I should have stated my budget also.

£62

also whilst I will be water cooling I would not be using the features ie flow sensor temp sensors or any thing like that, as I simply could not afford them. so atm was looking for just a fan controller.

thanks for the replys

i really would not recomend a lamptron i waited months for a fc5 v3 and used a £20 pound akassa controller while i waited. i just put the lamptron in today whilst it looks nice feels well built has nice sleeved cables its garbage the dials need to be turned three quaters for the fans to spin i had mor control with the cheap akassa. out of the two you mention get the aquero

Cool,

Not worth spending more than you need to of course!

Do you want a manual controller, or something programmable/automated? Personally when starting out I preferred the feel of dials and manual control. The nesteq was a good fit. 8 channels and you can run multiple fans from each.

Yeah that's the startup voltage. On the Nesteq I have there are two 'banks' of four channels which you can switch off with a button. If I do this while the machine is on, then turn it back on, the fans won't start until I dial WAY up. However from cold boot they run as normal. I think it might have a boost function on boot. I thought the F5 v3 had this? Maybe I'm confused..

(+1 for the username as well!)

how many fans can you run off each of the four channels of the Aqua Computer Aquaero 5 LT USB Fan-Controller ?

I can fully see the bennifit of the Aqua Computer Aquaeros espcialy while watercooling and the front panel of the pros and xts are really nice. the thing that puts me of is the price. I remmebr seeing a tbalancer square are they called, have they fallen out of favour now ?.
I could see myself getting a Aqua Computer Aquaero with a display in the future. the thing that puts me off getting the Aqua Computer Aquaero 5 LT USB Fan-Controller is the fact if I get oen with a front panel display I will be left with the basic vers.

So in reality I might be looking at the :

OcUK Tech Labs Airflow Control Cooling Kit - BitFenix Recon Black + 4x BitFenix Spectre Pro LED Red
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...31&subcat=2665

a few things are leaning me towords that, is when I finally have enough money for a Aquaero, I will be able to use the fan controller in another computer without wasting the features of say the Aquaero.

A question about the

OcUK Tech Labs Airflow Control Cooling Kit - BitFenix Recon Black + 4x BitFenix Spectre Pro LED Red

next month I will be getting my watercooling kit. and in that wil be getting a 460 rad, the new nemesis xt one. will I be able to use the four fans facing out so I can see the fans on the outside. then use the kit fans inside the case ie a push-pull config I think its called. will the fans be fighting each other or will it be ok ?. so this way im hoping the fan controller will be able to mange all 8 fans of that rad and im also going to be possibly using a 360 rad I already have so 3 fans on that also.

Sugestions ect would be great.

Thank you for the replys

I would advise saving up and getting Aquero fan controller it will be more useful to your water cooling kit, especially if you get the lcd version of it. You would be able to do many things such as controlling your fans by PWM which is more precise than voltage, also you can create custom fan curve, connect aquabus with compatible pump so computer will shut down e.g when temps reach your limit. It's just overall better fan controller in terms of features and build quality. Personally I got aquaero 6 PRo and I love it.
