This is my setup
Power Supply - Corsair 750w semi-modular
Motherboard - Msi Z170A Gaming m5
CPU - Intel Core i5-7600k
Graphics card - Nvidia gefore gtx 1060 6gb
RAM - Corsair Vengeance lpx ddr4 ( 2 x 8gb )
CPU cooler - NZXT kraken x62
SSD - Samsung 850 evo 250gb
HDD - Seagate ST1000DM003

i also have the NZXT hue+ , and the NZXT internal usb hub.

Ever since i installed a new fan ( NZXT AER RGB 140mm ) yesterday in my PC it has been running a lot slower and i unable to play games i used to be able to play. Prior to this my Pc was runing perfect. I have had to plug the fan into a cpu header as the pwm hub on the case is 3 pin and the fan is 4 pin. Not sure if this has anything to do with my problem.

All help appreciated.

Sounds like you have unplugged the cpu fan by mistake, as there is only normally 1 CPU fan header. Without that plugged in the country will likely slow itself down (temperature throttling) in order to protect itself.

On my motherboard i have 2 CPU fan headers. I have plugged the new fan into the header CPU Fan 2, As the 1st header is taken by my CPU cooler ( nzxt kraken x62 ) All my temperatures seem to be running fine. The fan is working as i assume its running from the temp/speed of my CPU. But something is making my computer run slow, since i installed the fan.
