Hi all,
I want to get my fan setup upgraded and all sorted on my Enthoo Pro before I upgrade my cpu and gpu. I am currently using the 200mm front and 140mm rear Phanteks fans that came with with the case along with 2 Corsair AF 120 fans (1 bottom intake, 1 top exhaust) and have a Corsair H75 with 2xAP120 fans in push/pull config also exhausting from the top of the case.

I'm happy with the fans on the H75 but I want to replace all of the others, ideally with matching red LED fans and have them all controlled via fan controller in one of the 5.25 bays.

So, a few questions then: -
  1. I presume 2x140mm fans at the front would give better air flow than a single 200mm?
  2. Which 140mm red LED fans give a good balance of performance, noise and cost?
  3. What fan controller would be a good choice to control the above fans?

For the fan controller, it has to be black to match the case and if it has any lights/display etc then it'll need to be red to match all the other lights (vain I know but I can't stand mis-matched LEDs :p)

Many Thanks,

Ross

Hi nails,

Did you ever get any information about your fan setup for your Enthoo Pro? I made my own thread before i saw yours. Did you end up with 2x140mm at the front? i was thinking of replacing the 200mm as i build but am unsure about what to go for.

I haven't made a final decision yet and haven't had any other replies. I'm currently leaning towards the Bitfenix Spectre PRO 140mm fans though. They get good reviews and the specs look very decent on them. I'm pretty sure I will go for two of them in place of the 200mm fan at the front along with three more, one bottom intake and then one each back and top as exhausts.
Just got to decide on the fan controller now :)

Funnily enough I was just looking at that Akasa one. I think the Recon is a bit gimmicky now that I've looked at it in more detail. The Lamptron FC5 V3 is another one of that style that looks very good if a fair bit more expensive.

Cheers, I have a couple of corsair af120s and they do seem pretty good. If you had to pick one of the 2 which would you go for?

yeah I agree. I also like the brushed aluminium look.

and to answer your other question, I'd go for the af/sp140 just because I like to have all my fans from the same brand

Having just got my enthoo pro, i found the the 200mm fan very noisy so replaced it with my 140mm fractal fans from my old fractal arc case much quieter and push a decent amount of air.

I may still upgrade them to the corsair af140's though as I have completely removed the hdd cages so they should provide so decent air flow.
