New fanless build. MSI Nvidia 960 question!

Hi,

Thinking of doing a new build. A silent build. I have already decided on the processor (4690k), the graphics card I already have (MSI Gaming Nvidia 960) and will be putting the Nofan CR-95C fanless heatsink on the processor (which has been tested with the above processor on another website and stayed at 51 degrees under load maximum). I know I cant overclock the processor or card as that would create extra heat , BUT the graphics card I have has fans that don't come on until it gets so hot. I cant recall them ever coming on when I game but I would try to put a fanless heatsink on the card anyway to aid cooling.

Do you think its doable to have a totally silent PC that I can use for casual gaming?

If your fans dont come on and you cant recall them then why bother. If you tend to play more gpu intensive games then having the fans will help cope with the heat.

You can always use MSI afterburner to custom set the fan speeds if they get to load.

Because I want a totally silent PC as I do music stuff too and want silence. I play grid autosport and flight sim , but not heavily. Would taking the fans off the 960, putting decent paste on and then just refitting the heatsink make it better?
