My system is just to loud, especially the side fan. Im currently using:
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FG-013-CM&groupid=701&catid=57&subcat=4

My case is a CM 690 lite if that influences the choice, i just want quiter fans :( so if anyone could point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated.
Im thinking about putting 2 140 mm fans at the top of the case aswell.

In summary :p
I need 3 120mm fans and 2 140 mm fans
Cheers for the help :)

Well without stating the obvious, the more fans you have, the louder your build is going to be. Even with the quietest fans you can buy, with five fans inside your case it's going to be reasonably loud, just through the sheer amount of air being moved. I would suggest maybe thinking about just putting three fans in there. For nearly all uses that should be enough, and will help keep the noise down a bit. If you don't feel it's producing good enough cooling power you can always add more at a later date. In terms of the layout, I would suggest replacing the front 140mm intake fan, then having one 120mm as an exhaust fan in the roof, and another 120mm as an exhaust fan at the rear.

In terms of the best fans, any of these would be a good choice:

Nexus Real Silent (sometimes known as Nexus Basic too)
Noctua NF-P12
Gelid Solutions Silent
Akasa Apache Black
Scythe Gentle Typhoon

The last fans, the GTs, are generally considered the best for rad cooling, but not necessarily for case cooling, so for you I would suggest either the Apache Black, which OCUK sell, or the Nexus, which you would have to source elsewhere (easy to find if you google their name though).

Cheers for the info guys, looks like il take out some fans and I like the look of akasa fans. Il be ordering next Thursday so il be able to post my findings at the weekend :p

those akasa fans are one of the best for the price tbf, the next step for quiet would be noctua nff12 almost double the price, if its all about looks then youl just have to put up with the noise.

I would go for either 1 or 2 intake fans on the bottom, and 2 exhaust on the top. Also regardless of what fans you chose get them hooked upto a fan controller for the most silence!

yup, you cant kill the noise, you can only convert it from a rattly tin box sound, to a deep electrical generator hum.

to be honest i like it, because it tells me if i've lost my OC before gaming... i.e if the fans are too loud i've lost my OC :D:D
