Contract with BT fibre is up for renewal - defo not going to stay with them, their helpdesk is appalling.

Currently on 76mb/17mb service. Think I'm gunna downgrade to 38/10 this time though.

Plusnet seem to be the cheapest but EE also have a good offer on which includes anytime calls and 1000 minutes to UK mobiles.

anyone any experience with eithers fibre service? - where are there call centres, offshore or here?

any limitations in terms of caps etc?

Would have gone to Virgin but their 'traffic management' really puts me off.

thanks.

Yeah Virgin traffic management is a disgrace.

I'm surpised your moving away from BT, fair enough their support is pretty dire but service is good and hopefully some day support will improve :P

Refuse to give murdoch and his cronies my monies so staying clear of sky unfortunately - I know it would have worked out slightly cheaper with them but hey ho.

Looks like plusnet are performing 'traffic shaping too' and googling EE apparantly they are too - i'm confused - even BT apparantly traffic shape but I've never experienced any slow down!

Does anyone with EE or plusnet actually experience traffic shaping on things like newsgroups? - That all I use and I also have a NAS which colleagues regularly download files from (hence the requirement for a decent upload speed)

Thats perfect KIA - thanks bud.

Complicates things slightly though! - EE had a good deal, but looking at the info above plusnet might be the best offering.
