New Firewall

Same here, once in a while my PC restarts, and when i goto the event viewer to see what tripped it up its always that bloody True Vector Engine of Za thats done the ****, i got this Comodo job before but never recieved the activation code so i couldn't try it out, just downloaded it again there and got the code this time so ill be giving it a whirl tomoz, and hopefully get shot of Za. :)

Not only does running both give you an extra layer of security (your hardware firewall will not interfere with the LSP's like running 2x software firewalls would), but importantly a software firewall it gives you complete control over what programs can and cannot access the internet. They complememnt eachother provided you use the right ones.
 
I'm using an old ZA, and it's fine, but it's not Windows SP2 compatible, so it's gone when I finally get around to the next reformat.

Undecided what to go with next. I can cope with ZA most of the time, but I'm trying to go small and light. Most of my machines are on Windows firewall only now, but that's probably not good enough for the laptop which can end up on public networks.

PS - shutting down and restarting ZA might help fix the DNS issues.

Kerio dude, uninstall ZA now and give it a try. It's damn nice. :)

Yes it does but its damn annoying for the wife who doesn't know how to / won't do that
