I got my wireless triggers today and despite not yet receiving my light stand and flash bracket I thought I would have a test of it all.
For those interested I used the following:
Canon 430EX II
Some cheap shoot through umbrella from auction
Silver reflector which I got from a photography magazine subscription
Cactus V2s wireless trigger and receiver (£25 from auction!?!)
This first shot is a test shot I did simply bouncing the flash off the ceiling camera left.
Now onto the stuff I did with the umbrella. All of the following shots are using the shoot through umbrella camera left with the silver reflector camera right.
This one is straight out of the camera
DIY setup
Looking at this I just remembered I used the silver umbrella cover I had taken off the umbrella as a reflector for the kitty shots.
NUTS!
Finally, some banana fun!
The setup. Now, I can't wait for the light stand to turn up so I can go out and do some photos of real people
This is all really just a bit of fun and to test the setup. I was pleased at how I was able to control things having read strobist.com for most of last week at work. This was probably the most fun I have had taking photos in forever!!! I took loads more of other things which didn't turn out so well.
By the way, before anyone points out, I shot the whole lot at 400 ISO by accident from an earlier shoot!?!?!
