New forza 2 images

I have to be honest, and say that I am probablly one of only 2 xbox 1 owners that never played the original. Did people prefer this to PGR2?

I liked Forza, but prefered PGR2

They look semi-ingame, as in like the PGR3 photomode shots, so they're ingame models, just the rendering is not. In my opinion.

has there even been any in game shots/vids shown? all i have seen of it is the E3 trailer and was a bit 'yeah so?' lol

I think they are tarted up in game shots, as the HUD looks really crisp and i doubt it would be so sharp. Also the other 2 shots might be replay mode shots, which bug me, its like the GT games show replay stuff, i dont wanna see that cos i dont watch replays

I really think there fake but guy who works for Turn 10 (creators of Forza 2) said there would be official screenshots on the website next Thursday.

Something dont look right with the screens especially the models im sure it going to look better then that. Wouldnt be suprised if they get removed soon but only time will tell still waiting for confirmation if there real or fake though on official forza forums.

He did also state that screenshots would be appearing in magazines this week graphics look really poor to me from them.

I do, but they are slightly different games. While PGR has cone/speed challenges, and the driving is slightly arcadey, Forza is much more "no-frills" racing. You pick a car, and you go out and race it against others. Or rather, you try your best not to flail wildly off the track at every corner before you get to grips with it and the track, then you actually bother to try racing the other drivers. It's very realistic, although I'm sure there are probably more detailed PC racing sims, it's the closest a console game has gotten to realistic driving.

It's got a lot more depth than it might sound from that though. There are literally hundreds of cars to choose from, and all have their own distinctive handling, which of course changes further if you modify them. So getting used to a new car for a series you need to complete is a challenge in itself, and what I love about the game. There's just something about edging round that perfectly taken corner that can't be beaten.

So yeah, I think it's ace me.

Meh, those textures look disappointingly low res.

I hope they're very early beta leaks/tests to be honest. I've never played Forza but I am looking forward to it.

If it plays superb and looks like GT1 I will buy it.

Graphics are nice for the oh wow for the first time it happens, but 12 months in they will not still have your attention.

Gameplay > Graphics without exception, both together adding to the immersion then hell yes! :p

But then we might as well still be using Atari 2600's :p

I agree gameplay > GFX, but in todays world you need to be visually wowed as well IMO.

Point is the first shots will be those from a magazine

The risk of someone releasing these possibly as an employee of the magazine would be too risky. Also as these are not scanned which would be the time for someone to copy as they had went to press means imho they are fake.

FM2 will be better looking than that and youll see the real ones soon enough eh.

I'm more interested in things like the available track selection, whats the handling and physics like, does it run at a decent and sustained framerate, is the multiplayer any good (prays for a 16 player limit instead of the usual 8).

I'm sure it will look good, but it's more important that it plays good for me.

I think will get the demo later this month as Microsoft game event in Barcelona X06 starts 27th September i think.

On IGN they said demos will be released not stated what yet though. :)

Same.

I loved the car modding in Forza though, seemed to work much better than GT especially the styling mods. What I didn't like was the way the race structure was laid out as it seemed that you would buy a car, mod it, do a single series with it, then not be able to use it again.

I did love my Supra engined Lexus and my Audi RS6 though

most important factor, there's nothing more annoying than a poorly coded game that could be good, but has a changing framerate affecting the user's control.

Looks like them pictures are fake but not been confirmed but the threads been locked up on forza forum.

Anyway the countdown begins to the first official screenshots which will be shown Tuesday. :)

"Happy Friday everyone, and welcome back to another Turn 10 Weekly Pitpass Report -- a newsletter from us to you on the state of Forza Motorsport 2. If you're just joining us for the first time (and I don't doubt that may be the case for some of you out there), feel free to peruse the rest of the site, and maybe get caught up on the rest of the Pitpass Reports here.

Before I get into some of the stuff happening around Turn 10 this week, I need to address the "leaked" Forza Motorsport 2 screenshots that hit the web earlier today. Right now, questions abound -- are they fake? Are they real? Is that really what FM2 is going to look like when it's spooling up in my Xbox 360? Yadda yadda. Unfortunately, the only official answer I have at this time is this: Since these screenshots were not officially released by Turn 10 and Microsoft, I cannot confirm nor deny whether these are indeed real. Yeah I know, whiskey tango foxtrot.

What I can tell you is the following: In light of the events of the day, we'll be posting real and official in-game screenshots next Tuesday (09.05.06) morning (rather than wait until Thursday, obviously). I can also say that there will be exclusive screenshots next Tuesday you won't see in any print mags (meaning we're grabbing them from the latest build and not trying to make a magazine's long lead deadlines from a month ago). Now, can everybody please chill out and try to enjoy their labor day weekend? Yay! Now onto other things..."

taken from official site where Screenshots will appear here is the article.

Surely what he's said means they're real? If they were fake he would've said so ?

He can neither confirm or deny but he says there not been released from Microsoft.

Official ones Tuesday just have to wait and see. :)
