Hi,

I've decided to replace my very old 240 Swifttech Rad (I have a Phanteks Primo so that 240 looks a little lost :-)) with a 480 (thinking the EK 60m version). And add my GPU (1080) back on.
My main issue is on using something other than just distilled water with PT nuke, are colour coolants ok or are they likely to cause issues? Any brand that would be recommended?
I'll probably get a new EK cpu block with clear top (and clear EK gpu block) so figured I should get some colour in them.
Also I'm thinking of changing to a smaller tube size, what sizes do most people use.
And finally are EK fittings any good? Thought about bitspower but don't really want to spend that amount on them if others are decent.

Any thoughts? thanks.

Why is everyone knew to custom water cooling just thinks EK ?

Is it because they sponsor all the big youtubers these days?

Sorry for derail just wondering.

Rads id go alphacool.
fittings would be bitspower but at twice the price of monsoon its a tough call
tubing and coolent, mayhems all day everyday.

I personally Monsoon are over priced for what they are, Bitpower are very nicely made but sheese at that price!

I have a mixture of XSPC fittings and Barrow, the Barrow are visible from the front and the XSPC do all the hidden pump, connectors and external bits.

Alphacool make some pretty amazing blocks now, as do Aquacomputer, the XSPC Raystorm pro CPU cooler is a wicked bit of kit.

Not sure my post helps! :)

Thanks guys, yeah was thinking Mayhem but seen a few reports of the colour changing after a month or two, so was a little unsure. I have moonsoon fittings at the moment and not had any issues, but again seen people saying they a prone to leaks so was dubious of getting those this time.

Definitely sicking with EK for the blocks as they have been great for me and still seem to be top on reviews/comparisons. The Rad I was edging towards EK since they seem to get the same reviews as the alphacool/HWLabs as being the best.

So yeah still no idea :p so many options

I like EK fittings as they are reasonably priced seem good quality and readily available but although I’ve never had any problems their water blocks look so dull now especially the cpu blocks it’s basically a square with a sticker in the corner lol hoping to go Watercool Heatkiller IV CPU and Vega RX GPU block once it’s available.

Really like my Hardware Labs Nemsis GTS rads and will be sticking with Mayhem’s coolant and tubing.
