I am looking at getting a new fully modular PSU. Are the seasonic units still suffering from coil whine or buzzing sounds?

I like the super flower PSUs but not keen on having 3-4 SATA connectors on the one lead.

Have had 2 Corsairs fail on me now and not too keen on another Corsair PSU.

Most PSU's i've seen come with the SATA's like this.

What will you be powering?

Nothing spectacular:

AMD A10-5800K.
FM2+ ATX Board.
Alpenfohn Matterhorn Rev B.
4 x 120mm PWN Fans.
2x4GB HyperX 1600.
Samsung 840 EVO SSD.
WD Blue 500GB Hdd.
Asus PCIe WIFI Card.

I quite like the Seasonics but am a bit worried about all the coil whine threads on the web.

Looks like that Seasonic is advertised incorrectly as it is clearly not fully modular, unless the picture is incorrect.

First I have hear about this. I own 3 Seasonic X Gold's, 650 (gen1), 650 (gen2) and 1050. No issues what so ever and all dead silent.

Same here. I've owned a S12 430, Still own a X560 & G550. Not a peep out of any of them.

Might I ask why it needs to be fully modular? The two pre-wired connectors on Semi-Modular PSU's are always needed for a normal system I believe

why do you need fully modular anyway? If the 24pin and 4+4pin is hardwired who cares? It's not like they are optional cables for a system anyway.
